Question Powder coating over polished alum. or chrome?

have any of you had your parts powder coated clear over the polished pieces? I thought it would protect them but was wondering if the shine would dull.

Depending on the thickness of the metal (like a aluminum pipe vs the upper manifold), the final finish may darken. This because thicker materials need to stay in the oven longer to heat up and for the powder coating to prperly adhere to the metal. Otherwise, it should be glossy as long as they use gloss clear.

Looked into it, but am **** about everything matching, hehe.
