dont listen to stryker, this is exactly why you reopen a 5 year old thread. i dont get why people complain about people making new threads with the same/similar questions yet they get pissed when someone reopens a thread that is the same exact category. that is what the search function is for and since you used it i will try and answer it.

Mid paint job side shot
subtle, clean, and functional. 3 things every man should live and die by.... If they own a street car! Track car is another story. I like the GT wing look on an FD cuz i know it WORKS like it should on the track, and i kinda like that gnarley/wild look! However if i saw an FD on the street with one... I better instantly realize its someone taking their full blown track car out for laughs on the street or its some ricer toolbag running one on a 100% stock body FD imitating the track guys... Fine line between legit and full blown AIDS. If all else fails, keep buying wings to see if you get thumbs ups or laughs and keep drillin holes in your decklid per wing and settle on the one that yields the most thumbs up!!!
My top "clean FD" wings are Feed, RB in post #31, JDM RZ/99 spec w/e, OEM 93 R1, and maybe some other lower profile wing i cant remember. Many will agree simply because anything else is just too much that exceeds the bodylines of the FD. HENCE, if you look at my FD, youl notice the angle of my FEED wing also matches my rear diffuser. Aesthetics at worrk my friends, everything has to flow front to back to pull "that look" -end drunk informative rant!
