nope there not. they are in fully open position. the height of the lense is only about 3" high. i fitted them, they come supplied with different motor arms to alter the height they opened to

anyone know what type of bulb the KS lights use? i have a cheap alternative for hid and would like to see it would work

is there any shop that is still selling the rotary extreme ones? is there a different between rotary extreme and re amemiya?

I'm not sure if anyone still makes them. They are no longer listed in the rx7store and I didn't see them in the rotary extreme site.

yes there is a difference between R extreme and amemiyas.

the rotary extreme has a "flat" cover and the projectors are a tad bit smaller and thus you can really see fixture that holds the lights in place, in addition the projectors that are used are meant to be covered up around the bezel. IMO from up close the rotary extreme look cheap and home made. I will say that you can buy concave covers which really help the aesthetics of that kit. ANd oh yeah the lighting is great

Rotary extreme:










The RE Amemiya have a concave clear cover, the older model lights are larger and hide the fixture better. The newer sleek models actually have a bezel areound the projector that really give a finished look.
