porting sub boxes

porting sub boxes

hey i have a 1 cubic foot box with a jlw0 in there with a 500 watt amp. in a first gen. i made the box, but should i port it?

if its a 1 cubic ft box there is no need to port it, the w0's are the entry level sub and a 1cubic ft bx and smaller is suggested, no need to port unless the box was built to the ported specs for the sub

depends on what the sub likes. each sub has it's own specs (obviously) and some like different enclosures in different sizes. for example, my subs work best in .75 cube sealed. yeah, I may not get uber deep bass, but **** if they don't hit like hell. get the specs on yours and send them to me. I'll let you know what's good for it.

I know that sub, I used to install them almost on a daily basis, as I said leave it sealed
