Please Help...quick stereo question

I bought a 91 T2 about a month ago and it came with a newly installed Eclipse head unit (or deck, not sure what you call it)...anyway, when i bought it the guy said he didn't know where the security CD was (to disarm it i guess). so i was like ok, whatever. recently i unplugged the negative battery cable to reset the ECU codes on the car and now i notice that the stereo (although lit) won't respond when i push the buttons. (i guess its in security mode)...

soooooo...is there anyway to recover this thing? should i check out eclipse's website? or see if a decent audio shop could fiddle with it? its no big deal, just wondering if there is anything i could do

thanks for any help

Unless you can get either the code CD or a receipt for the stereo you are SOL.

Maybe try sending it in and writing a sob story

Yeah those Eclipses ask you at time of install for a CD to be inserted as the key CD. The orginal owner had to insert a certain cd and tell the Eclipse it was the security cd. He could have inserted an AC/DC cd, or a KISS CD, who know, fiddling with it will get you no where. Theres like what 22,460,000 different cd's out there...

Id say emailing Eclipse or United Radio in NY. And ask them if theres anything that can be done?
