Please help!! I have NO sound!!

I finally got a new head unit after having all the other necessary hardware for months and got no sound after putting it in. I checked all of the fuses and all of the wires only to find nothing wrong that I could see. The power is fine because the unit works and the darn power antenna even works, but NO SOUND!!!!!!! Please help me troubleshoot!!

I had that same problem.... 94 Touring w Bose. I took it to a BestBuy and they said it was just a wire missing out of the harness?? I dont know how true that was but it works now. Maybe it was the wire to turn the external bose amp on.

Finally!! It took me forever to get logged back into the forum for some reason. Anyway.......yeah, '93 with the P.O.S. Bose crap. Thanks for sharing 7-sins. It has to be something like what happened to you because I checked the wires a thousand times and I don't see anything wired incorrectly. I was sure to make special connections like others have told me to as well. All my fuses are still fine too. I guess I'll go get help tomorrow. I'm usually a do-it-yourself guy when it comes to car audio, but I'm totally stumped this time. I didn't even have this much trouble when I hooked up a bunch of stuff on my old talon. At least then I figured things out after using trial and error and at most lost a couple of hours fooling around. Ok, hopefully I can get things straightened out tomorrow. I'll report back on how it went.

your new headunit might be blown..
i bought a new Kenwood KDC-9017 .. the EQ and everything worked.. it received sound from CDs, FM/AM but no sound came out. they said that the unit might be blown.
try putting a different unit and see if the sound comes out.

good luck.
