I searched but didn't see what i was looking for. Question I have is im doing a duel headlight kit like carbonR1 but not to sure i want to pull the motors apart and mod them to open to the height i'd like, so i've seen the pivot controller and want to know once installed you set the height you'd like then stuff it under the dash and the head lights work from the switch or do you have to use the controller every time you turn the lights on

Iīm in the same situation as you are.

But I have another question.

First of all...
As far as I know: With the Pivot Controller, it should be able to set a desired height, once and then you donīt have to touch it anymore.

If Iīm wrong... specialists here in the forum: correct me!


The question I have is slightly different.
I think it should work, that I have to configure it once and then it works. But what interests me, is how accurate the controller sets the height, every time.
I donīt want to setup the light height and every time I open my Popups with the Pivot, my light will shine in another angle. (too high, too low).
+ Is it accurate in opening both sides @ the same height?

Maybe you could help me (us) up with this information.

Or you could probably name us the best solution to open up the popups @ a certain height. (hardware solution also as Software/ other mods - solutions!)

Maybe a moderator could rename this thread in:

"Best way to modify popups to stop @ a desired height."

What skrew do I have to change, what hole do I have to drill, to do the perfect job.


And always remember...
we donīt want to have a ricer - Sleepy eye mod.
We are not Need For Speed fanboys. We want to produce Modified popups.
I for example, have to do it, to stay street legal here in germany!

So please give us some informations!
