Pics of s5 doors from interior
Does anybody have some photos of the door from inside without the door panel on and with it on? Just would like to compare it to my s4. Doing some stereo stuff.

You can download the FSM body sections from fc3s.org. The 89-91 doors for the coupe have speaker openings for 6.5 inch speakers (I have an 88 that is getting 89-later doors, though one of which has a badly dented out skin so the speaker opening is being grafted onto a earlier door).
Having both earlier and later sections open, go to the page on the door (there are pics of the inside of the door and door panels).
Then, compare away.
Before I got the doors (the car is undergoing a complete paint job and body work repair), I had made speaker boxes and ran speaker cable through the factory bulkheads, interfacing the wiring with the factory wires with factory plugs and rigging a bypass plug scavenged from the factory passenger side amp box.

You need to right-click on the link and select "save Link as." Also you need Adobe Acobat reader (the latest version is 5.0).
It's best to save them to disk rather than view them on the web browser. These files are big. If the screen is blank, that may mean that the file is downloading, your webbrowser doesn't have a plug-in, or your Reader software needs to be updated.

Also, yes it does work when I go there. I've been able to access all the sections for the 86-88 FSM, and the body section of the 89-91 (I needed to compare the old doors vs. the later ones I got).
I'm planning to buy some 6.5 Blaupunkt component speakers (with the tweeters flush mounted in the triangle trim pieces), and either buy a new pair of 6.5s for the rear towers or transfer the Memphis Audio 6.5s I already have to the back. I'm thinking of either getting an Alpine CDM-7892/94 or a Jensen MP5010k MP3 receiver.

I can view the other files but not that one, I'll save as and open it. Do you not like the memphis components or do you just lke blaupunkt better?

Well, the Memphis speakers I already have are coaxial (with swivel tweeters). I've installed a full set in the front doors and rear deck of a 1996 Millenia sedan. They sound great (especially when driven by a 30watt-per channel amp), but for some unforseen reason, they crackled at one time, every speaker, in both cars.
I thought it could have been the wiring which was why I made a bypass plug out of the old factory amp box (hasn't crackled since).
Oh, I was able to run speaker wire through the wiring bulkheads on my RX7--though I ended up using the Millenia's Bose wiring and tapping into the harness connectors. What may have caused the crackling was either a bad recording or bad termination of the speaker wiring. There haven't been any problems since.
Actually, I want to use the Blaupunkts mainly because they're the least expensive, and that they've gotten favorable reviews.
In light of the some of the other reviews I read about the Jensen stereo, I'm going for the Alpine 7892 (the 7894 is too expensive right now).
