Those lights would be perfect for the C-West Carbon fiber (replica). I love the look but I wouldn't buy them because of the fog lights they come with. I would get the PIAA angal eye fog's for the high beam though.

Hey, first off they look great!

I have a quick question for you. I need to know how you wired the lights to have both high and low beam on at the same time. I just did a custom HID setup with an Audi A6 projector but I only have low beams. How did you connect the factory wires to the HID setup and the foglights?

I plan on posting pictures of my setup in the near future.

The following instruction is directly from our 3rd gen sleek headlight kit but the concept is universal. Pretty much you will use the high beam positive wire as a signal wire to drive a relay which will be connected to the low beam.

Headlight Wiring:

The stock headlight connector has 3 wires consisted of two red wires and one black wire. The bottom red wire is for low beam. The left hand side red wire is for high beam and the right hand side black wire is for ground. You can either splice the wires or cut off the connector and use butt connector to extend the wires to the Hella H9 connectors provided. Please make sure the wires are long enough to reach the headlight assembly. Connect both ground part of the Hella H9 connectors to the stock headlight ground wire (black) and +12V wires on the Hella H9 connectors to the separate red wires on the stock connector wire. Make sure you mark which H9 connector is for high beam and which one is for low beam.

If you wish to turn on both high beam and low beam while the light switch is at the high beam position, you will have to run an additional relay with a 30A fuse. You should be able to find a relay kit at your local auto parts store. The relay kit for the fuel pump also works in this application. On the relay, there are 4 terminals:

Battery +

Ground

+12V signal source

+12V output

You will need to hook up the relay to only one side of the headlight wiring unless you are running a high voltage light bulb. If you don't want to take the risk of overloading the wiring, you can install relays on both sides of the headlight wiring.

Connect the Battery+ and Ground terminals to the battery. It's easier if you do this on the driver side of the headlight kit since the battery is near by.

Splice the +12V signal source terminal to the high beam red wire on the stock headlight connector.

Use a 3 way butt connector to connect the +12V output terminal to the low beam H9 +12V wire.

Make sure you put the 30A fuse to somewhere you can easily access.

Connect the H9 connectors to the respective Hella 90mm lights and switch on the headlights to see if they work accordingly.

Here is another way to do it aswell. I found this on "rockshox"s homepage. I haven't tried it yet, but it SEEMS way simpler than adding extra relays and more wiring.

RX-7 4 Lamp Headlight Wiring

This mod is intended for all the RX-7 owners using aftermarket lights that have 4 seperate lamps, including my own upgrade. After performing this mod your low beams will stay on when the high beams are on, thus improving visibility dramatically.

This is a very simple modification. Start by removing the steering column cover by removing the 3 screws on the bottom and unsnapping the 2 halves. Mounted to the underside of the steering column you should see a plug that looks like this. Disconnect this plug so that you can get a better view of the wires. On the top row of the plug are 5 wires that are larger than the others. These are the power wires and we are going to connect 2 of them together. Using 2 wire taps (for 12 gauge wire) and a short piece of wire, you need to connect the 2nd and 4th wires from the left, when looking at the plug from the wire side. On my 94 these wires are red with a black stripe and red with a white stripe. I believe on a 93 these wires are red with yellow stripe and white with green stripe. Be sure to test for correct operation before putting everything back together.

Jeff, no you can't LOL. You don't know me when it comes to this stuff. I have like NO background info when it comes to wiring and electronics. I'd LOVE to learn, but time is not a luxury I have.

So what's on your mind? Detailed instructions alongside a "how to do stuff for dummies" book?

~Ramy

PS...BTW, you know the Knightsports ones? I personally like how the lenses themselves look, a lot more than the one you have (which look more like fogs). That's actually one of the main reasons I don't like the C-west sleek headlights, cuz they look like fogs...But I like the sleepy eye more lol. Picky, eh?

Honestly, if i can wire it, anybody can. I dispise wiring ****. It's just a power/ground thing anyways. Northing special, just plus directly into the stock harness. Take you like five min to crimp on some female ends and plug.

haha, I do not like the Knightsports ones, the lights are too big The knightsports kit will NEVER have the same cutoff that my Hella HID's had. It is perfect.

*edit* sorry for calling you Remy. For some reason I get Remy Martin stuck in my head. Probably from my alcoholic college days

Well, I think it might be converted stock lights.. But its not 100%.. Just have to wait and see.. I am confident that Garfinkle will get this done right.
