TF&TF ruined the Bomex hood for me, otherwise I'd think it was pretty snazzy

That's the one . Thanks a lot. Now, wouldn't that just be easy to cut out? I mean looks like they just cut it out didn't they? How much is that hood anyway?

Thats a TRD hood, so they obviously wouldnt make it for an FD. However, Bomex recently made a FD that looked as close to the Fast and the Furious Supra as possible, and I beleive they made a replica TRD hood for it. I wouldn't suggest getting this hood, but thats just cause I like the way the RE hoods look alot better. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=207006 theres a link scroll down a bit and yull see the pic.

well, i don't have 800 bucks for a hood, and i just want some kind of vent to get all the hot air out, without opening the hood all the time. With my PFS smic i get a lot of heatsoak and i need some kind of vent. That seems to be the cheaper way out.

I'm going to try to do the same thing when I repaint this winter. I've already been turned down by two shops since it's aluminum. They don't want to take responsibility for warping. it. I wouldn't be too concerned about the structural quality. Have you felt the strength of most of the CF hoods?

there is this one shop that wants to do it for me. It's 400 bucks though, with paint included. I want to try it first by myself and see how it turns out.

There are a lot of hood frames underneet, i guess i'll have to cut some of them.
