Thanks for sharing that with us Chuck!

You need to start organizing a RotaryExtreme Tour of the Tokyo Autosalon. This is my next place I want to go, and would much rather go with an RX7 enthusiast then do a SportCompactCar mag tour, hehe. Think about it.

I wish I can afford that. It's funny when I showed the video to my girlfriend, the first thing she said to me was that what happens if someone tries to rob you?? hahha

Thanks a lot for sharing Chuck.

Of the cars shown my farvorite is the RE NA 3 rotor. What is the going rate for 20B conversions in Japan?

I'm not crazy about the RX8, but I guess I'm going to have to get used to it. I imagine many of the tuners (mazdaspeed in particular) will shift their attention to it now that the FD is out of production. Maybe RE will make a 2 door kit for it so the car will look half way decent Why mazda didn't use 2 long doors with a multi pivot hinge (like the sc400) is beyond me.

If you place an order, I will have the parts ordered for you. It's probalby the best time right now. My cousin has a container coming from Japan every two months. He is over there uploading the container right now. If the stuff you want is in stock in Japan, it can be shipped with this container and it will arrive by the end of Feb.

Your are welcome. The trip could have been better. I was sick for 2 days in Japan and I only spent 4 hours at the show because I was so sick that I felt like I was going to die.

AD hood 9 is nice. I have one fiberglass one coming in and a carbon fiber one coming in as well. They should arrive by the end of Feb with my RE Amemiya widebody kit.

According to RE Amemiya, the NA 3 rotor is pushing out 400 hp at the wheel. I actually don't know how much the 3 rotor conversion is in Japan. I didn't ask because I didn't think that anyone will be interested to ship their cars to Japan to have it done. I can check for you if you are interested.

I didn't like the RX-8 as much as the FD but the Mazdaspeed one looks so much better than the regular RX-8 in my opinion.

Chuck:

Thanks for the event coverage.

I didn't realize that "FC Widebody (front fender, sideskirts, 1/4 panel)" was only $2000. In the picture, it doesn't look like a "widebody". Rather the only visible difference is fender is flared.

But, if you notice on this picture, the side skirt area is somewhat different then your picture.

Do you think it is because of the "side skirt"? This is definitely the kit that I have my eyes on, but I like the "total kit" for the FC that you posted. I don't like the "kit" that is the on Tamon Design website. I would rather have the body lines flow w/ each other, as opposed to the abrupt drop that is on the Tamon Design website.

BTW, for more/larger pictures of what I'm referring to, check out this link:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...highlight=hood

Any input on this?

You are right. I messed up. After I looked at them closedly, they don't look the same at all huh?

RE Amemiya carries the Tamon bodykit and the widebody kit listed for $2000 is the Tamon one.

On the RE Amemiya FC, they don't list that new fender in their new catalog but it looks like the Panspeed fender flare molded onto the stock fender.

Panspeed fender flares for the FC is not that expensive. You are looking at $325 for a pair including shipping from Japan.

Chuck,

Do you plan on offering the front bumper and skirts on the border rx7? They look different then the current border stuff listed on rotary extreme.

Thanks,
Jeff

I like these too. The covers look like the old ASP headlight kit that had two lights.

QUESTION:
Does this kit just not have a high beam? Is there any upgrade light that is a hi/lo beam? How about HID?

Also Chuck:
Is there any chance you would be able to utilize the new hybrid fiberglass for your replicas? A hybrid FG '99 replica nose (no plate) might be a real hot seller if the price was right...

The FEED wing should be done by the end of Feb.
The hold back is due to the special screw FEED uses for adjustment of the wing. It's not something over the counter. I am sending the screws to the machine shop to have them custom made. Photos of the wing pieces will be posted around 2-05 though. Once the screws are done, they will be ready to be shipped.

Yup. The other hole is for intake induction. You can put a light there if you want to but when you buy the kit from RE Amemiya, the other headlight does not come with it. You can put the HID there as well.

On the hybrid aero stuff, need to find the resin first. If I can get a hold of that, I will be offering the hybrid aero bodykits as wel.
