Permanent wiring for a Valentine One
hey everyone,
Just got my V1 and im anxious to permanently wire it up! I was planning on using the sunvisor mount and i was curious if any ignition 12V went up to the dome lights, so i wouldnt have to splice into the turbo timer harness and run the wire all the way up the a-pillar. Any other suggestions are welcome as well!

No, I don't believe a switched ignition wire goes to the dome light. A switched wire goes to it but it is wired to the door. You could try using a test wire and checking for yourself. I attached mine above the rear view mirror with the suction cups. Then I ran the wire along the headliner, down the a-pillar, and into the little box that came with the V-1. From the little box I used a ground behind the kick panel. For power I just found a switched wire near the fuse box and attached the red cable to that. The total install time is probally 30-45 minutes.

That is exactly my setup. Originally I was tapping the turbo timer harness, then I ripped out the turbo timer and ran the power to the fuse box.
My ground is above the kickpanel, I think.
