Paint removal on rubber spoiler

I didn't get any response in the newb forum, so I'm hoping to find some more experienced folks here. I want to remove the paint from my fc stock rubber spoiler, but I don't want to damage the spoiler in the process. Some of the paint is already chipping off, and I've carefully scraped some off. Does anyone know a good way to remove the paint without damaging the spoiler itself? I'm planning to leave it unpainted, so I don't want to stain it with paint strippers and am unsure what a heat gun would do to the rubber. Thanks.

Ryan

Ace Hardware sells nylon bristle style wire brushes for drills and grinders, I would try that. I'm about to buy one to use in interior plastics.

Are you planning to use any kind of stripper with it, or is the brush by itself strong enough to remove the paint?

Thanks for the response

Try the nylon wire wheel first and go from there, I'd imagine that would at least clean it up enough to re-coat it.

sorry, I should have clarified. I'm not planning to recoat it. I'm hoping to leave it as the bare rubber. I may talk to the sherwin williams people later this week to see if they have some stripper that wouldn't eat into the rubber.
