Try plastic 'safe' paint remover such as ELO. You can find this at most hobby shops. Keep in mind that your CF canister might be clearcoated (with clear 'paint'), so test on an inconspicuous part first. ELO is less aggressize then regular paint remover, but it's purpose is the same - to remove paint (and clearcoat).

Oh, and the only other thing I can think of (depending on how bad the overspray is), is to remove the canister and have the shop buff it out. If the overspray is light, it should come off with some light buffing and buffing compound. Then again, if they are careless enough to get overspray on you car, I probably wouldn't trust them with that either.

thanks guys, i def try that. i thought about paint stripper, but i wasnt too sure if that would be ok on the tip. i didn't get much overspray on the carbon part for me to really be worried about it. my main concern is the tip. if this doesn't work, looks like ill have to resort getting the canister off and taking it to a paint shop, and see if they can't buff it out. thanks again for all the help

if the tip is titanium (im not sure?) then any solvent is fine. at the worst you might have to polish it afterwards if its already polished now.
