Paint over Carbon Fiber?
Hey... I was curious if i could paint over carbon fiber.. the Car is a gunmetal color but it has a carbon fiber front bumper/fender/ and hood.. I am leaving the hood, but if i was to paint this black can i paint over it or do i have to replace the entire bumper..

Not to sound like a ricer, but if you could do it tastefully you should paint it in a way that the carbon fiber only shows through the paint job in certain areas, creating a design or an image of some kind. Or like RE-Amemiya said, do it up in a way that only the vents are unpainted carbon. That would look sikk

ya, do it so that the CF shows through in certain light, but at night, you cant tell the difference.
only thing about CF is that it needs to be done by a good body shop with CF experience, never want some bozo trying to slap bondo on cf for a "lowspot".
and no, i kid you not, seen it happen, the owner of the car AND body shop nearly killed the guy. schmuck had no idea what he was doing.
