Rynberg, get off your stool and join the rest of humble society. You stepped on some toes when you said that it would be unethical to paint an FD CYM because when it comes time to sell, I would somehow be giving the buyer the wrong impression. If you'd like, I can PM you my buyer's phone number and you can ask him whether or not he feels cheated about the paint.
Chacon, I hope you don't think I said VR paint is poot. I said my VR paint was dulled and faded, thus the paint job.

intresting. REGARDLESS.......................IM STILL PAINTING IT CYM!!!!!!!!!! so..........i just wanted some opinions, i got some mixed answers, but if the whole car is yellow top to bottom then who cares. its like this. I have 3 Civic Si's One is Milano Red one is electron Blue pearl and One is Flamenco black. for the year 99-00 they only made Si's in that color. now. when i see a 1999 Civic EX painted electron Blue Pearl, i think ***. Now when i see a 4 door dx 1993 civic in EBP I think ***. When I see a 99-00 Si' IN any of the 3 Colors its cool. How ever. Electron blue Pearl was only available on the 99-00 civic Si ONLY. therfore making it somewhat uncommon. it wasnt on the ex dx cx hx only for the fact that the blue stands out more making it look liek they are everywhere. now lets move to the Rx7.......R1....lets focus on the VR and CYM. I have a R1. Its red. CYm came on a R1. only 350 were made in 1993. Ok its rare to see a factory CYM Rx7 R1. however. since i have an R1 and the car that came with CYM is a R1 then it should be "ethical to paint it CYM" right? its not a base model trying to be a R1, its not a PEP, PEG, Touring trying to be a R1. Its a R1 that is red. so unother than doing a color change to change the vehicle's color, but not the trim level of the car, to a CYM is not wrong. I know people who have had a Red Si and wanted the blue but were no longer in production and had the whole car painted blue. im a owner of a blue si and i in no way felt threatened that a fellow honda owner would buy this car soley for the purpose that it was blue and be disapointed that it was red originally. it may be different for the Rx7. i know you cannot put the rx7 on the level of a honda. but i am olny trying to make a point of what i would like to do. look at it this way, 350 were made, how many are still alive. 200. if i paint mine yellow then theres 201 CYM alive. im not doing it to make it lok like a Original CYM. just liek the people that reproduce replica shelby cobras and still pay 100k for them. im doing it because thats what i fell in love with when i saw my first rx7. i saw it for years around my house sleek and fast with the yelow piercing my retina against the blue moutains. im not painting it to be an ***, im painting it for what it is in my heart. Ive ******* wanted a yellow FD for 6 years now, and im not talking about some kid desire, i prolly know more than the average newbie does when they first get one, i studied the history or the rew and felix himself and the FD. so i fell that ive made my point valid..........CYM it is

yeah.........it looks good but im refering to the faded *** dull *** red thats on my car right now. if it was shinny and somewhat new looking then id like it, but its not and it needs paint anyways, and besides mierda, used in cuban dialect which i am, does not necisearily mean shitty or ****, it can be used to refer to something that you dont like, so...........like que mierda eso, = WTF or me no gusto la mierda eso= i dont like that kinda ****........

I told Roberto he could paint his car whatever color he wanted. I then said it would be unethical IF HE PORTRAYED THE CAR AS AN ORIGINAL CYM. Do you know what means? That means that it would be unethical for him to tell a buyer that the car was an original CYM. Now, do you ******* get it?

As I recall, you were the one to jump my *** in this thread. I notice you're not man enough to admit you were wrong, but then again, I don't think you actually understand my original comment, even after I tried to use monosyllabic words.
Nice resort to calling me a jack ***, as well. What a great contribution to the forum you make every day!
