Hi Mahjik,

Thanks for the link...I saw that link before I posted my question--unfortunately, it doesn't give a paint code for Argento Titano....

What color is that anyway? I've never heard of it.

That's because you have to look for the translated paint code: Titanium Silver

hmmm....I've tried searching for Ferrari Titanium Silver but I still haven't found the paint codes. I was able to find paint code for argento nurburgring and grigio metallic titanio but not argento titano (titanium silver).

The website doesn't appear to have paint code for titanium silver either....

thanks,

anthony

Call a BMW dealership. Apparently, M3's can come in "Titanium Silver". I'm sure they can get you the paint code.

Even though a car manufacturer might have a color that is the same name as another car manufacturer, most likely than not, the color isn't *exactly* the same...there are tons of variations!

If I can't find the paint code for argento titano, I'll just go with Argento Nurburgring.

To see these colors, just go on Ebay or any site that has a bunch of ferraris. But warning though...a majority of the listings just describe the car as "silver" or "titanium". I have even come across listings where the dealer that is selling the car listed the wrong color name! You will see about 4 silver variations in ferraris and almost all of them are just described as "silver".

there's a ferrari dealer about 30 mins away with no traffic...prolly an hour with traffic. i will call them after work to see if they are willing to disclose the paint code for titanium silver. or maybe i'll actually make the trek to go there...i just dont want to have to deal with any snobby salespeople. heh

just an update. i called the dealer, the guy acknowledges that he knows of 'argento titano' but when he looks in his book for paint codes and parts, he can't find it. he said "it must be gray titanium" and gives me the paint code for that but that paint code matches grigio metallic titanium which is a dark gray (very nice color-but i will not be repainting the engine bay and such). so i think the argento nurburgring is the lightest silver they have (which is what he claims).

i also went to a PPG dealer and they had paint chips for ferraris up to 99 and 2000 but after that, they had no records in their books....maybe ferrari either stopped introducing new colors, or their paint is made by a european brand. in any case, i was able to confirm the paint code i found for argento nurburgring with the paint code that the PPG dealer had.

if the ferrari dealer doesn't have a listing for argento titano, it doesn't exist! heh
