Paint?

Im kind of on the fence about which color to paint my FC. What Im wondering is how much painting will cost in the first place, and if there will be any difference in the price between the two.

The choises are: diamond white with gold pearl or gloss black

Any ideas on prices and if theres going to be any difference in price? Im thinking the white may be a shade more expensive if I use the pearl.

For any kind of paint job that 1. you will be happy with, and 2. will last, plan on at least $2k

Thanks black, least now I got a range to go in.

Mel: As far as any cosmetic damage goes, there really isnt much. 2 rust spots around the sunroof, and the body trim on the passenger side has come off (I have it...its just slightly warped. Im still trying to find out how to straighten it out so I can glue it back on).

The car right now is white, with the black trim. The main reason Id like to get it painted, is because right now the paint is dull white. I dont think any ammount of polish would really help. Its a 20 year old paint job, it has a right to need refreshed lol . Secondly, its just a matter of personal taste, but Id like the body trim to match the car.

edit: and nope, cant sand lol

all the little things add up, if the rust is just surface rust it shouldt make the price change much

as for the moldings, leave them in the sun on a flat serface for a few hours on a warm day, they will strighten out, then store them again on a flat surface until you or someone else installs them

~$3000 if you want a quality job, want the body work fixed, and want the engine bay, door jams, trunk area, etc. painted too. That's a general cost. A white to another form of white paint job will cost considerably less than a white to any other color just because you might be able to get away with having the engine bay and other places left untouched from original and still look decent. If you choose to go black or anything else (red, blue, silver, etc) you will be forced to paint EVERYTHING to make it look good.
