Optima Yellow or Red top?

I was looking at the yellow because I might get an amp here pretty soon and small stereo. My question is, would a deep cycle battery be something you want to start your car up with?

Thanks,
Chris

A yellow top is OK for starting a car. Unless you have a large stereo set up, the battery wil not make much of a difference except when the engine is not running. Get a Red top because, a red top is cheaper and has better power discharge(I doubt you will notice the difference though).

Yellow is fine - not as many CCA as red, but still more than are needed. If you have any tendency to let the battery run down, or run the stereo with the car off - then you get some insurance with yellow.
