Opinion time--- FD seats

time has come for me to purchase an seat (just driverside) for my fd!!!! yeah.....
please put in your 2cents in on which is the best seat(s) one can buy for the FD.

With the following key points
  1. style---all bling
  2. Plug and play----easy on install with brackets******no cutting no welding please
  3. functionality
  4. $$$$$$$$$$$$ not a factor.

...emphasize #2, because that, most likely, will be the deciding factor.

Question

Are you looking for a reclinable or fixed seat?

^Best bet Mikey. I'm switching to those eventually. The Sparco Evo seats were a BITCH to get in. Plus, Bride offers super low rails for their seats.

Thanks Archie for your two cents. I've been banging my head over this upgrade for some time and have held off on it but, I am just in need or in want of 2nd and third opinions on this matter.

I know for a fact from the reports and threads this is considered on of the main choice for plug and play!!!! just want to make sure.

+1000 on JDM Recaro RZ seats, their is not a better choice. You can contact fdnewbie, he can get them for you, I believe he charges roughly $3000. Which i believe will be a lit bit more expensive then the brides you posted above once you have to buy rails and racing harness.

Although they are nice seats and they are oem, I wouldn't pay $3800 for beat up and worn out seats, sorry

I've sat in rz seats btw.

Here's a good thread to check out:

https://www.rx7club.com/interior-exterior-audio-26/fd-aftermarket-seats-practical-seat-thread-453449/

MemoryFab also has a nice seat:

http://www.memoryfab.com/products/detail_accessories_4/

Bride makes some good seats, no doubt. IMO, they are a little pricey for what you get. There is also F1Spec:

https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=137

I just don't see the point putting seats in a car in which the seats are going to be worth more than the motor.

I have only seen two sets on here and one in person, all brought over from ramy at close to $3000, not 3800. None of them were beat up or worn, i dont know where they got their seats from but they shouldnt be beat up.

I just realized that I have never seen you say you actually liked an item, haha dont know if thats a good or bad thing.

I like work vsxx rims, I like 99 spec fronts, I like your double din

I guess I should say I wouldn't pay that much for "used" seats... that's just me though

I agree with mahjik
