Question Opinion Needed: Lights w/ GTC Front

So here are the four options.... (apologies for the quick-n-dirty P-Chop)

[1] OEM Pop-up

[2] RotaryExtreme/RE-Amemiya

[3] PanSpeed/RE-Amemiya

[4] R-Magic

Man your car looks killer as it is!..
But if I had to go with one I would say the PanSpeed/RE-Amemiya, at least you get some functionality from them and imo they look nicest on your car!..

i think i would leave it stock. stock headlights pulls in the beauty of the tinted covers on the GT-C bumper. if you have a non pop up headlight it it will be too busy and pulls it away. I still like the RE Amemyia tough.

ps. your car looks AWSOME!

Hey Steve,

Are you running OEM still? U considering sleeks or Ryan/N-Tech's low-prof pop up?

BTW, cudos to your car also. GTC are nice fronts.

I think the stock pop ups look the best.
With these sleek kits it makes the front to busy ......loks like fly, or spider eyes. To many lights.

For a different look, I kept the pop ups and got the Knightsports head light kit.

Cheers
Shawn

RE-Amemiya if any of those.....

I think rx7even's kit would be nice if he could get them done. It would look like the Knightsport kit, as mentioned above, but it will have projectors and HID upgrades all for a better $$$.

silver3rdgen....nice kit! But red would've been awesome.

Rims are Buddy Club P1 Racing II. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=138741

Hey CJ...car is not running yet. Season hasnt started. But since I need a new bumper and some motor work, I'm planning on a new turbo + rebuild + some exterior options. U definitely can ride in it.... BUT YOU GOTTA SHOW UP FIRST!!!!

And, I used to like the C-West (sorry SteveCod), however, I kinda like a flusher look with the GT-C or FEED Version 2 R.

I'm warming up to the low prof pop-ups but since I barely drive this thing (let alone at night), lighting is not really a high priority. Just aesthetics.

Yea yea, I'll show up someday.. you'll see. I'm just too busy switching around cars to have one I think is suitable for taking to Boundry bay.. hehe as you can see I'm on this forum now..

If you don't drive at night, keep the pop-ups. I personally don't like pop-ups, when I had my MR2 I never turned them on untill I was out of Vancouver (no street lights).

Why do you need a new bumper?

Damn hedge.. nice pic...

hmm hard decisions..

Stock is nice w/ HIDs.. but i'm more of a sleek light type of guys..

I don't like the Rmagic ones at all...

RExtremes/RE w/ HIDs would be nice.. style and function..

RE/Panspeed is also nice ... just coz not many have it... pays to be different.. of course w/ HIDs.. :]

I agree, or get the Knightsports pop-up kit. Either way, stick with the pop-ups.

HedgeHog - If you are planning on going with a sleeklight kit, I personally prefer the Rotary Extreme type lights. I think the panspeed and R-magic ones are pretty dang ugly.

However, I completely agree with what a few people have said already. The pop-ups just look better and blend better with the stock lines, as well as the GT-C front. The only negative aspect of pop-ups that I see, is that the look kinda ugly when they are up. However, you already stated that you wouldn't be driving that much at night, so thats not really something you should be concerned about. Keep the pop-ups.

Speaking of pop-ups and the Knightsports kit.... I've really been interested in getting a set. The only pics i've seen are the ones from knightsports with the white FD. Any one have any other pics of the kit installed? Anyone got any information as to the availability and pricing? Thanks!

saxyman990,

I don't want to hijack this thread talking about the Knightsports kit , so check the following thread for a pic of them:
