i am planning on getting the xm radio set up and wondering with the noise i have now from from magnecor wires will i still have it when i install the xm.. thanks
wire noise
use a really good ground locate it close to the unit , the stock ground wire will not be good enough..that should fix the potential problem also make sure youre power leads are not close to any other electrical sources....
My Magnicor (street) wires supress noise better than the stock carbon core wires. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
When installing a new audio system, I always like to run 12 gauge or larger wires directly from the battery (fuse inline on +ve lead at battery) - both +ve and -ve leads run into cabin. There I install a relay with the coil connected to acc. Then I know I have "clean power".
