Sure you can put one in, but I wouldn't do it. 90% of aftermarket sunroofs leak at some point. And I think the stock sunroofs have a slight curve to match the double-bubble roof.

It'd be cheaper, and certainly easier, to sell your car and buy another FD with a sunroof. There were a few special order R models which came through with sunroofs. They've been talked about on the Forum and there's a picture of one in THE RX-7 Performance Handbook.

I have heard that if a sunroof is installed from anywhere but the production line they have a really good chance of leaking. Plus it is also expensive. That is what I was told when I got the idea to do the same thing. However, performance wise your better off without a sunroof because of the extra weight added with the sunroof motor.

I wanted a sunroof in my FC too. I was thinking about my. My brother was telling me maybe I can put the 2nd Gen Convertible doors and make it a Targa. How about what. What's the good and the bad about that one?

I know someone who put an aftermarket sunroof in an R1 CYM... it sucks.
The cut caused the metal to rust over time and the finish on the interior is questionable... and.. you loose the bubble top. bad idea all around.
