No power to stereo

I recenty had the sony stereo stolen out of my FC. I got a new stereo for it off of ebay but there is no power going to it. The stereo is not defective and there are no fuses blown in the box under the drivers console. What gives? Could there be something that was torn out that doesnt let power go to it? Please advise.

use an ohm meter to see if your getting 12v

check your ground!!!!!

if all else fails run a wire straight to batt and to your unit

There should also be another fuse under the hood... check under there, it might have blown first. Other than that you could always run a new wire from your ignition harness or battery as mentioned above. Make sure you fuse the new wire if you run one...

Edit: an ohm meter measures resistance not voltage.
