Iam from the states what the hell did that guy say I know it's bad but didn't get what he said.

Don't bother with the gilmer drive. I killed to alts . I barley had any pressure on the betld second time. It bassicaly bends the shaft on the alt, the cooiling fan the grinds on the alt body. You hear a grinding sound then a clunk. And in the rear view is the pulley rolling across the highway. Happen to me the first time 100 or so mile away from home. Second time the alt pulley fell off right when I got home. What a shame looked and sounded good

totally awesome restoration man!!!
that has to be one of the best restorations i've seen done on an rx7

so not going to sell it for the series 8 anymore?
nice one on the rx7heaven seals - was looking at those, but from what i know the PTS from australia are even stronger so I'm kinda weighting up between the 2 as the PTS are still quite a bit more expensive

you did some good work putting that 7 together. Im curious though what color blue did you use on your FD. It looks something like a 350z blue but maybe a shade or two darker its not bad. Also what kind of wide body are you looking into, im looking into some and im finding myself very puzzled

Don't sell her for a newer model, this has to be one of the nicest resto-mods I have ever seen.

You already have so much invested, and not just money.

Cheers the colour is Mazda Rx7 Innocent blue Mica from a 1999-2002 FD. You dont see many this colour hence why I chose it I am not sure what wide body kit I will be running yet but I do know that I will be looking for something that stays close to the original body lines as I dont like bulky or OTT body kits as I feel some of them tend to ruin the body shape of the FD.

Here are some pics from the race day at Pukekohe Raceway, Auckland, New Zealand yesterday! Ooh I just love the pic of me blowing away the mitsi EVO 8!! For my first time ever on the track and my first time on a race track in over 4 years I posted a best time of 1min 12sec flat lap time!!!

Ahh those were the days, when we would all go down to the hutt carpark, I would fry a set of my tires and the cops would just sit there and watch!! Now days they take your car and your license!! I remember everyone buzzing out at my tail lights and I pretty much guaranteed to fry a rear set of tires every night I was out!

Recent mods to the car:

RX7 Heaven 13b Large extend port with 3mm RX7 Heaven Unbreakable apex seals
Greddy front mount intercooler kit
Luxury Sports 58mm Radiator
99 Spec twin turbo's
HKS R50RE Racing plugs

Currently the engine is putting out 226KW at the wheels with more power to come after bigger fuel pump and fuel reg are installed and later in 2009 a Garrett GT35/40 ballbearing turbo!!!!

Pics of my new engine before the install below check out the RX7 Heaven logo where the mazda 13b stamp used to be!!

So it's been awhile but I've got some motivation (and some cash) to do some more work on the old dog

I've just started upgrading my fuel system to take on extra power seeing as it's got a single turbo and I haven't had the funds to upgrade the fuel system until now. Starting with a new aftermarket secondary fuel rail made here in NZ (vest ive seen so far too!!), 1680cc injectors, Sard fpr, bosche 044 fuel pump, 2l custom Stainless steel surge tank and new fuel line fittings etc....

Here are some pics of my rail etc mocked up on my spare manifold, i will put some more up as I'm installing the stuff on my car and take it in for dyno tuning, should be fun once its finished!!!

Holy crap- I had no idea the amount of work you'd put into this car man. Very impressive. Might have to road trip it up north with the FC for a track day & come say Hi

well its been awhile but im still going and recently I have fitted some new slotted brake rotors, flush mount bonnet pins, an RE-Amemiya rear diffuser and a mazdaspeed front bumper as the 99 OEM one wasnt letting enough air in and i could only do 2 fast laps at the track before the engine got too hot!!!! Next on the list is suspension set up and make a front airdam plus get my new panels painted before the next track day! wish me luck

Thanks man! I had the FEED bumper but air opening wasn't big enough and it didn't fit right.... It's an FD, isn't it always going to be a work in progress? Ha ha so more good work to come

Just fitted my HKS EVC boost controller............ and yes i know i need a new head unit but waiting for an OEM stereo bracket to appear as mine doesnt have one!
Install was really easy but cant find a really good place for the solenoid in the engine bay, i found one under my strut brace but my bonnet has big massive vents in it and apparently it wont like water if it rains....
