new speakers for BOSE WAVE??

anyone try to fit an aftermarket sub inside the bose wave? is there a small enough sub to make that physically possible?
I don't listen to rap or much dance music so i'm not looking for much 'thump'. just want some clean bass but don't want to have to rip out the BOSE WAVE.

thanks for any input,
-Kory

You do know that BOSe speakers are 1 ohm, some are 1/2 ohm? Its a class D amp delivering its best power in a low impedance load. Also the enclosure is tuned for a specific driver...

i thought they were 2ohms... but either way that doesn't matter to me, already have an aftermarket headunit... i'm looking to replace the subs inside the enclosure if possible. I'm sure they're designed with those bose subs in mind but I'm really not looking for a high perf audio system so that doesn't really matter to me either.... just looking for decent bass and retain the oem look...
