New seat skins

I posted this at nopistons and figured I would share with you guys here as well.

I got these from http://www.autoleathers.com/HTML2/AL.MAIN.FS.html
They are leather with "suede skinz" inserts.
Its black on black although in the pics the colors don't seem to match up as well as in person. Either way. Took me 4 hours to swap out the drivers side. I haven't tackled the passenger side yet.
They aren't quite as fitted as ths stock ones but it is still a tight fit and the bunching is not that bad. Over all I'd say it was $628 well spent..

What's so annoying about it? Are you using new hog rings?

I didn't say it was annoying. I said it is a pain in the ***.
Which it is to me since I have never done it before.
I can do it, and i haven't had any problems, but that doesnt mean that it is easy. Yes I am using new hog rings and hog ring plyers and canvas stretching plyers as well. But is still not a quick job.
Why?

I don't remember taking that long when I removed my seat cover for cleaning. I guess new covers aren't as quick as putting the existing ones back on.

But man, they look sweet.

**** me, Dave. (Not literally!) As usual, you've stepped up and shown what a FD is SUPPOSED to look like. Sweet as **** man. Good job!

Dave,

very nice!!! I love the seats! How do you like the quality of the leather?

Your interior is pristine too...that center console looks freshened up? Did you paint it? Nice CF scuff plates too!

Nah, the interior was super clean when i bought the car and I just kept it that way.
Well the black stuff is all new sibnce it used to be tan but the panels are all original.

The leather is pretty nice. I would compare it to the seats in my wives Volvo.
It's not as smooth as the stock stuff. It has more texture to it.

No problem. Just drive it up here and pick it up in a week or two I promise I won't wreck it against anything hard.

Looks excellent Dave, and I'm glad to see first hand how your progress has come along. Is it me, or did you change your shift ****? and also, I see you are using the DIN 3 guage piece, how's that coming along? Be sure to post up when it's done, as the FD itself is looking and feeling amazing.

Can I have your dash guages?
