New rims pulled out fender. Paint question..

Yup with the suspension and 18's it caught the lip of my fender and pulled it out.

I used a baseball bat to roll it back temporarily and worked great. So today I had them rolled but the paint chipped and split. You cant see it from the out side but if I dont do something about it its gonna get worse.

Is their a quick fix for this or will the body shop have to repaint the fender. Its all original paint so I really dont want to repaint it.

Any help would be great.

BTW I was thinking maybe a couple coats of clear coat just to seal it what do you think?

I had the same problem. Actually a lot of people that lower their fd and put after market wheels on have the same problem. I would just go to the body shop and get it done professionally. You don't want a half *** job on your car. I'm not sure how much they are going to charge you to repaint the fenders. All they will do is blend the paint so it shouldn't cost you that much. Good luck and hope this steers you in the right direction.

cheap way to stop it temporarily is to get some strong clear coat finger nail polish... and go over the paint chips with that with a few thick coats... will prevent it from cracking much further until you can get it done proffesionally.

I would rather not paint the whole fender because you really cant see these cracks at all..

The clear coat finger nail polish is a good idea. thanks
