Thumbs up New RE Amemiya Carbon fiber Door sills

Just saw these on the web. Looks very nice and is made of dry carbon fiber. They retail about $20790 yen. Consider been dry carbon it is good price. Here are some pics.

I think the ones from Atihun look a lot better. I'll be purchasing a set from them soon.

For that price... I rather get the RE one, which is made of real dry carbon fiber.

I'll buy a set if someone manages to import them or do a group buy or something.

I will be making these for the 2nd gen shortly. I will make a set for the 3rd gen after that as long as everything goes well. But I do have to say that the RE ones in the pic above are make with the cheapest single dot carbon fiber on the market. I would only use 4x4 twill but my progress is slowed due to global CF supply problems.

They look really nice...I would be so worried about people stepping on them when getting in our out of the car though!

I got a PM Back from Inukai of RE-Amemiya. He said the price would be $210 + $50 for shipping.

$50 shipping? In that case, no thanks. The Atihun sills look like a better deal. I figured freight from Japan would be the deal breaker - even for something as light as these things are.

Don't worry about stepping on them, they're durable . Just be somewhat careful not to scratch them.

I've had mine on my car for a few years now and they look almost new.

Those RE's are nice but I like ours better (of course)!

Im actually surprised Inukai wants that much..

Either way did you guys see the FEED ones too. All of them are about the same price. I just figured I would throw these in the mix too, since they all almost look the same.
