Talking New paint on the 7

I just finished up getting the 7 repainted. Took these pictures from inside the booth before the car was outside and I cleaned off the polishing compound. I will post more when I drive it home and clean it off. Painting the car turned out to be a blast and it looks great and is as smooth as glass. The metal flake and pearl really set off the blue. It should look great when its all back together.

OMG, that and the electron blue are my absolute favorite blue hues. My next door neighbor has a ferrari in that color, its drop dead gorgous. How much did the paint cost you?

I want to say about $800 but I don't have the paper work in front of me. Yea the color really does look amazing. I can't wait to get it in the light on a sunny day....

YOu are correct 800 for just the paint I did the body work and had my friend help me do the paint job (no macco). I wanted to do it right. I will post more pics when I get them uploaded from the camera.

Here's the pics before the paint job and one with no clear on and one after. The car had lots of hail damage and I widened the fenders and sealed up some holes I didn't like......

Very, very nice.

In case you ever need major transmission work or vacuum hose stuff done, maybe we can barter for your excellent bodywork skills.

Defiently.... I have never wanted to touch the transmission. I took the car to nonsequential mode so there are no vacuum hoses... I just have to get the slave cylinder replaced and I should be ready to go once I polish the engin bay all back up. Body work is fun, I tend to like it which is kind of odd. I guess that is why I like to carbon fiber and polish things too..... I will post more pictures of the car out in the sun with the interior back in when I get back at home, I am in my final week of school right now. For now I just post what I have here on my computer. I am not sure if it is legal but I sealed in the reflectors in the back of the car because I didn't like them... These are all the pics I have right now till its all back together and I am home.

Yeah, I'd do bodywork if I had any clue how and access to facilities and tools. But that's a minor obstacle ;o)
