So I'm planning a black interior swap in my '88 vert, and I'm going to need black carpet, I've decided to just do the cutting and molding myself to save the money and for the experience.

Now, to be honest, I'm not all that sure what sort of carpet to get, and that's why I'd like to ask the community for advice. What kind of carpet should I use? Is automotive carpet different than standard house carpet? What do I need to make all of this happen?

 

Its your car, use whatever carpet you want. I'm using a a grey speaker box material to cover up bare metal where I removed the rusted storage bin stuff.
