New gauge faces? (86-88)
Hey guys my friend made me aware that there may be some interest for new gauge faces for the 88 (I guess 86-88) style clusters. I'm working on a prototype and just wondering if you'd rather see silver or white faces. The plan is for blue numbers (which light up blue) and red for redline (if that's what is wanted.) Temp gauge could possibly have some red in it as well. Just gauging the interest here and I'd like to hear what you would like to see.
Just as an example here is a picture of a face I created for a dodge neon (this is a night shot)
You can probably tell that the brightness varies I've noticed that the back of the faces for the RX-7 have some kind of variation in the amount of light that gets through so I may or may not handle that.
Anyways, thoughts or comments please.

Are you making these gauges out of Electro Luminscent Sheets and then painting some sort of light blocking material in there, and then painting the numbers and stuff and then painting the gauge white?
And also, if it's easy to change the numbers and stuff, would it be possible for you to change the numbers of redline?
Heh, or change the font for that matter :P
Thanks.

Persona non grata
That font you use in your picture there looks really good. Make them like the gauges in a Pathfinder - they're a metallic titanium color. I'll definately buy a set when you have some.

silver face. white is too played out.
i dont get all worked up and think 'Damn those are sweet, dude,i gota have a set' anymore. im just jaded when it comes to white face, or indiglo guages from Honduhs. id like a set in silver for sure tho. orange needles.
btw, do you think its possible to put #'s in the coolant guage, instead of cold and hot. i hate that ****, it reminds me of Fords. its like they think that we dont need to know how hot our coolant is. i hate the idea of thinking "man, i hope i dont over heat, its at 5/8's guage" that is whack yo

Hell yeah. I am down for a set. Depending on price of course. Gotta be competitive
I second the suggestions for a little more accuracy on the temp gauge. All you gotta do is figure out exactly where the running temp is on the gauge and go from there with the scale.
Also, a little red or orange action in the fuel gauge would be a nice off-set there. More work, but cool looking.
White or silver would be great. Helps to bring the mid- to late-80s RXs into the next decade.

Has this gauge set died as well?
So 'NEO98' what is the story? Can you deliver a set of gauge faces?
I actually like the blue color! I would like the exact same font as the stock gauges but with the effect that your 'neon sample' looks like, but
here is the catch: I want the metric version (Canada).
