Is terrible. Car Audio is one of the forums that I feel I can legitmately help people out, now we have to sift through all these interior/exterior mods. Bad choice....

There was never very much movement in those sections, which is why they were consolidated.
Besides, you guys know we have the search feature to help you out in finding something. We have also found that most people really don't want such a large number of forums, and technically, audio DOES fall under interior mods, and security also falls under anything body related.

Then how about an Aesthetic forum for modding interior/exteriors and a seperate forum for ICE (In Car Entertainment)
I don't really see how search has anything to do with this. I browse the audio forum just about everyday not for information, but to provide it. Probably won't stop me from coming, but i will definitely take a big step down on my priority list.

I mentioned the search feature because you mentioned "..now we have to sift through all these interior/exterior mods..." For people looking for information, the search feature is a great way to start.
I'm going to see what the Higher Powers think of getting this section to be subdivided into Interior, Exterior, and then Audio/Electronics. That might be the best way to go.

Yellow Dragon is no more
it also seems like lately everyone has been putting the car audio in the 3rd gen section anyway ... not the audio section. The audio section used to get real hot for a week and then dead for a month.

Persona non grata
Sorry guys, but we have to consider the majority when making decisions. Basically there just wasn't enough demant to warrant having separate forums.
If people would choose more applicable thread titles, it would be easy to sift through them.

Why don't we just make it this site into one forum with applicable titles?
I'm sorry, I just don't understand how the traffic affects anything. Have a majority of the people on this site requested that you consolidate ICE with aesthetic mods? If it is a matter of people posting audio questions elsewhere, than the moderators need to do their job and send them to the appropriate forums.
There are a number of people here who answer questions on a very regular basis with a lot of knowledge in the car audio field. If questions go unanswered, it is because there isn't someone who feels comfortable answering. That won't change by putting it in interior mods.

Seems to me the two (electronics mods vs physical mods) are pretty different.
And sometimes it's nice to have a list that doesn't send slow topics off the bottom within 6 hours.
Also - Searching is fine when you know what you want, but isn't the same as browing - or using the forums like you use a newspaper.
just some thoughts from an occasional user.
