They look great! Did you do the installation yourself? Curious to hear more about your experience with the install, and reviews on that particular vendor, as I'll be doing a similar job on my FD. BTW, on a couple of spots on yours where the leather appears to be wrinkled a bit and may be little loose on the foams, you can easily fix that by using a steamer. The leather will tighten up with a little steam heat, and the looseness goes away. If you're not in a hurry, you'll get the same effect if you just park the car outside on a hot sunny day.
I see you were able to retain the seat belt guides on the headrests - what was involved in doing that? Did the new leather skins have holes pre-cut there for the installation of the guides?
I did this job about 15 years ago on my FC from a different vendor - was a DIY install and they still look & feel like new. Hope you have the same luck with yours.
I didn't install them. I did however, do the easy part and removed the skins. There were lots of hog rings, maybe 50 per seat. No precut holes for the rails or seat belt guides. The guides are held in place by clips and the foam is indented in that area on the bolster.
I am satisfied with the vendor and their price is fantastic.
I do have pics of the old skins as I was removing them. Initially, I thought I would recover them myself but decided otherwise.
Photo is the inside of the cover where the guides attach.
I probably haven't driven a 100 miles since they were installed. I did let the car set out in the sun for a couple of days and I believe some of the wrinkles are diminishing.
