Ok to start off I went to tweeter to get a nice custom audio system. The plan was to two 10'' JL subs in the back w3’s I think. Now he wants to just put one 12'' JL sub in there he said it would be the same sound no different or something like that. Now I was wondering from u guys does this sound rite I would think two 10"s would be louder and better then just one 12" I know its bigger but idk so if anyone knows a lot about audio or has some subs or just one 12" sub in there rx7 some feedback on this would be really helpful.

 

1 12 can be louder than 2 10's it depends on the driver and the box ect but if u compare a jl w3 12 to 2 jl w3 10's ya the 10's will out perform more cone area and it will sound better more punchy tighted base from 10's if u wanna use the space go for the tens

 

exactly^ Why not get a 12w6v2? One of those will sound amazing and get real low at the same time. They will blow two 10w3 out of the water.

 

asuming that w3 are 10s compare to the 12s the 10s have a faster resonse try a transmiision line box they work awsome also if you wanna go all out go 1 w7 they put lets say more than your ear can handle lol na one 12w6v2 in that box will be very nice good luck
