Need Advice About Wiring

I need to know ways to permanently join two 8 ga. heavy strand wires end to end. The connection must hold up well in a high heat environment, must be weather resistant and remain a permanent connection. HELP, please.

as Icemark said or go to a stereo shop and you can buy a connection similar to audio fuses but that are hard wired. Either will do what you need them to

I would need a really large crimping tool to join them if I used butt connectors.
Also TonyTurboII, I'm not trying to connect a fused wire, just joint two pieces to make it longer.

Well, I got it connected. I joined the wires a butt connector, stripped off the plastic cover, and sweated the connection with solder, then wrapped it all with electrical tape. I hope it holds
