Nardi 99 wheel airbag light

So I installed a 99 nardi rx7 wheel but the airbag light doesnt go out. Tried swaping wires but no change. I reconnected the old bag and the light goes out. Anyone have any suggestions???

This is a long shot but do you have to add some kind of resistor in there? The two air bags might have a different resistance when hooked up to the same circuit.
