Question N1 kit=RE AD?

I've been looking at getting an N1 kit from either Rotary Extreme or Makoto Autotrends and I'm wondering if the N1 kit is the same as the AD kit from RE Amemiya, or the sides at least, does anyone know? I want my sides to look like either of the cars below, but I heard the ones on these are 99 Spec. Does anyone have any info that would help, i.e. where can I get 99 sides, would these be close enough to the same, etc.?

They don't stick out real far in the back do they? These pics are too big, otherwise I'd post them, but the white car at the bottom of the page in this link...the sides go out too far in the back for my tastes (in front of the rear wheels), it's just too big. They look too extreme for me, I want something the same style but more toned down, something to accent and not take away from the original body lines. I do like the blue FD about half way down, but I'm not sure if it would look the same since it's a full on side view and no quarter view available.

White ones should be 99 spec too.

The 99 spec's are 2 piece sideskirts. You can see the line on the sideskirt near the front door. You can also see them in the black ones as well, so both are 99 spec I believe. I have the same skirts uninstalled at the moment and they look exactly the same.

Where did you get yours? I love how they just accent the gorgeous natural body lines of the car instead of being all crazy. Do you have the 99 front too or something else? I don't really like the 99 front 100% so I think I'm gonna go with something else.

I actually got mine locally from another rx7club member. He said he shipped them directly from Japan for approx $700 or so. I picked em up for $400 from him.

And yup, I have the rotary extreme 99 front end (w/o plate). Nothing's painted though. I put my bumper on for fitment, but gotta get it painted still and then I'll get my skirts put on.

Dammit. I guess the search continues. Thanks Quickfini. If you come across another pair can you hit me up? Maybe they'll have some on Ebay.

No problemo, I'll keep a lookout.

What do you think of the Apexi ones? Dclin's selling a set of new authentic Apexi skirts, and they look similar to 99 spec's. Check out the buy/sell section for his.

Or Rotary Extreme's RE N1 like you said. The skirts are only $250us.

Yeah, that white FD at the bottom of c00lduke's post, that's one of the ones I'm not crazy about. They stick out a little too much right in front of the back wheels, like they're an exaggerated version of the OEM kit. Maybe the rear wheels just aren't wide enough and make it look bigger than it is. Thanks Quickfini. I talked to JT-Imports and he said he'd get me some used for $550-600 shipped, is that a pretty good price? I was told they were pretty expensive new. As long as I can get them in pretty good shape, it's cool with me either way. Thanks again guys.

Well, I was kinda thinking about Apex'i sides but I like the OEM sides a little more, they're a little too different for me. However if I don't find OEM ones for a good price I may end up going with Apex'i anyway. I DO like pianoprodigy's FD afterall.

I read in another post that there is a set of sides that Erebuni makes that is a replica of 99 OEM sides, I assume they're talking about the Shogun Style v14.0, the yellow one at the bottom of this page:

http://www.erebunicorp.com/ge/mazrx793.htm

Anyone have any info on that?

Yeah I read a post on the forum about oem replicas by erebuni, but they're fiberglass and not urethane.

Check this out. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=430508

For $450, you can have the entire N1 kit. If the fender sticks out too far out, just get some wider rims

Thanks alot, I emailed. I wasn't actually planning on putting on the fender flares, the part I was talking about sticking out was at the bottom of the sides in the rear. I did think about getting wider wheels for that to make it not look so bad, but I'm thinking maybe if I could sand it down it might look better. Not sure though, that's alot of sanding, haha. Thanks again.
