My system is near completion.....

Here's some pics of my stereo setup in my FC

You can see the custom sub panels I built and where I mounted my Infinity Kappa 202a to power the pair of Infinity Reference 1020W subs (10")

The deck is a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X679

The tweeter belongs to the Infinity Kappa 6.5" components I have for rears.

The dual Infinity Kappa 102a amps power the front and rear pairs of speakers.

Fronts consist of a set of Infinity Reference 5.25" coaxial speakers for now.

My final upgrade to this setup will be a matching set of 5.25" components for the front.

Good job fabbing up the sub boxes and amp. Keeps most of the cargo space intact while allowing for plenty of sysem back there. The head unit looks good allthough i prefer the excelon line from several years ago, they had a much cleaner faceplate.

Most important, how does it sound? Is all that equipment overkill for a small car like that? What type of music(specific) do you mainly listen too?

The system can be waaaay overkill if I want it to be....but that new eXcelon deck has an awesome integrated EQ and with some fine tuning, it sounds absolutely awesome now.

Not too much bass, super clean highs. It rivals my home theater system in my living room. With the windows down and the sunroof wide open at 80 mph on the highway, the music is crystal clean.

The subs don't create enough bass to become annoying outside the car, just nice thump and kick in the back while sitting in it.
