My new wheels!

As I promised, here are pics of my new wheels. I LOVE 'em...only downside is I don't think they're bright/shiny enough (the actual spokes), which is why I said in the other thread I was considering polishing them...

What ya guys think??

On the car...

Sideshot...

Closeup...

Side shot (MAN i love the nice lip on this thing!)

Nice car! How do you like to those Falken Tires? I'm thinking about getting some Falken 451's next.

They're 18s...the GT3s only come in 18s and 19s. The 17s I had on my car were def too small (what can I say...my taste changed haha)

As for the Falkens, they're FK-451s. I personally love them. Have never had bad experience w/ them. They're AA rated for rain, so in the few times I got caught in a bad thunderstorm by accident, I had no prob doin even 85 in *heavy* rain believe it or not.

And when it's dry, they stick like hell. Sure, the fact that I have 245/35s in the front (Falken's one of the few that make tires in that size), and 285/30s in the rear has something to do w/ it haha...but they grip NICE. IMHO, they're the best bang for the buck.

Go to http://www.vulcantire.com/
They have the cheapest prices I've seen for Falkens. The fronts ran me $161, and the rears $191. I just don't think it gets better than that for actually very good tires (did I mention they actually have real tread life on them, not like Pirelli P-Zeros w/ 2K mile treadlife? lol)

i seen your car at the revolution. i was the one buying the brakes from rich at gotham. the car looks really damn good. i've never been a big fan of the lambo doors, but your car made me drool. the wheels look really good. also, discounttiredirect has slightly higher prices on those tires, but they have free shipping. i think they're around 8 or 9 bucks a piece more

Thanx 4 the compliments man. Yea the lambo doors were a stretch, but I think they work w/ the body work overall. I freakin love 'em now. I don't think they'd look too hot on a stock FD though.

About the tires, check this out. When I went to get these tires (in the pics above) VulcanTire was out of the 245/35s, and I didn't wanna wait, so I called up Discounttiredirect, talked to Jim at extention 437 (1-800-589-6789), and asked him to pricematch w/ VulcanTire. Sure enough, he did So if you wanna do that, Jim's your man (funny thing is the total is still very close...go figure)

I love the wheels, love the body, the car looks gorgeous. Well done. Only problem now is that the brakes look tiny inside the 18's.

Even though this is one of the pics w/ the old wheels, I had to put it up...this is one of my absolutely FAV pics (esp since it shows the paint scheme on the hood)

911GT2, is that an offer to help me w/ a big brake upgrade?!?!

Yes sir. I think that's all they offer for the FD. I think it woulda been real hot if they made some for the FD in a better offset (45-50), and w/ maybe 9s in the front and some 10.5s or 11s in the rear...wooooweeee... that would be somethin else. You could throw a pair of 305s on that junx haha

Ahhh...too late. The worst has happened. I was waiting for a call from Malloy Mazda today while I was at the drive thru teller, and I went to pick up the phone when it rang, and the stupid curb is angled, and it left a curb rash mark about an inch long =(

I'm freakin crying inside...but at the same time, that made up my mind REAL quick. They're getting polished! lol

I mean...how can you go wrong w/ that?? Check out Jimlab's rims at
https://www.rx7club.com//showthread....hreadid=307266

They're KILLER

You sir are irresponsible. You should give me your wheels, your intercooler, and your JDM ashtray.

your RX7 rights have been taken away until further notice.

hehe, just to let you know the specs the rear wheels are 10.5" with a 3.5" lip with no rubbing issues.

GT3s are one of my favs mang! I wish the RX7s had the ability to put wider rear wheels. I would go 11" width!!!

I second the wingless suggestion.

That Benz is all business right there. I like that a lot.

Yea...wingless gives it the clean slick look. But it's also very non-functional. I hit 140mph+ almost every time I drive my car, and you can ask MakoDHardie and the rest of the crew that was w/ me at RR how their cars were all over the place at such speeds, and mine felt ROCK SOLID. Front undertray, rear RE diffuser, and functional spoiler really do make a diff. She's not going ANYWHERE
