my new paint job is destroyed
Dam, i just painted my car 2 months ago inside out. Yesterday, the towing guy came to tow my car to the shop and he scraped off 3 chunks of paint on my newly painted 99' front spoiler. Now, i'm pissed as hell. He said that the car is too low and there's no way that he can tow it without scraping it. So now, I need to repaint my front spoiler again. How much do you guys think it would cost to repaint my front spoiler? (still pissed at that guy)

Talk to the OWNER of the company immediately and in person with the car present and tell him you want it fixed as good as new, write down everything in a journal AS IT HAPPENS. Take a witness with you when you talk to him so you have recourse if you need to take them to small claims court. (let's hope not) Be nice but insist that he does things your way, and at the body shop of YOUR choice, not his. (It's your right under law).
About the only way it can be towed safely is on a flatbed, even then, the J hooks they will use to pull it up on the flatbed can mangle your bumper. I fabricated some nylon slings with a caribiner attached for exactly that purpose - they "give".
Good luck.

You shouldn't have to pay anything for the damages that were caused by him. I guess he didn't use any wood on the ground before hooking up your car. I remember talking to a guy who towed my car not too long ago and he said that if there were damages caused on the car that it would be covered by his company. However, the company will deduct the amount out of the worker's paycheck for the damages that were caused. The guy who towed your car is completely responsible for the damages that were caused, he never gave you any warning that it might get destroyed.
