Muffled Sound
Okay.. When I got my 1st gen a few months ago, the rear speakers didn't work, so about 3 weeks ago I went and got some nice Pioneers, front and back. They sounded really nice, but i was quite disappointed when I heard them in the car. They are in the factory locations, and the sound is very muffled once it reaches me or the passenger. Anyone know how I can fix this (besides turning up the volume, lol)
I did a temp. quick fix today.. seems to work. I cut a basketball into fourths and hot-glued them around the speakers, so it acts like a dome channeling the sound towards the front of the car (as opposed to the other side of the car, when the sound came out straight).
Does anyone know if companies make little dome-things to go around speakers to channel the sound to the direction you want? If not.. i'm gonna try to patent this thing, lol.

Your rear speakers should be not as loud as your front ones unless you go to concerts and turn backwards facing away from the stage.
The rears should only be for rear fill. The sounds the reflect off the back of an arena or concert hall, and perhaps just a little bass (since bass is somewhat omni-directional). Nothing more than that.
