Mounting a Recaro RZ into an FC

Hey Guys,

I was considering picking up a Recaro RZ. The seat is bare with no rail. I understand the that the rails for the RZ are extremely hard to find. In addition, I also know that the FD rail mounting points are different from that of an FC. So my question is, is there any way of mounting one of these seats into an FC without too much trouble? Would a custom seat rail have to be fabbed?

Thanks in advance.

Why do you want the RZs? Is the FC interior especially cramped like the FD? If it isn't, I would go for SPGs instead. Those RZ/Spirit R recaros are only sought out because they are the only of that type that will fit in the FD well. The recaros are assymetrical because of the tranny tunnel.

It is not like I have my heart set on the RZ by any means. I have the oppurtunity to pick one up relatively cheap. I don't want a true racing bucket because of the high side bolsters. I have Bride Vios III seats in both of my Miata's. They are a nice seat and hold you extremely well, but they are also a hassle and not something I would want in my daily driver. The RZ doesn't have huge side bolsters, which seems like it won't hinder access to your wallet (major PITA *** in a bucket). Plus, the seats have good value to them and are decently rare.
