Jeez. There's way too much going on there. RX-7's have such a smooth, clean, flowing design from the factory, and once you start... tacking pieces on them here and there they just don't look right.

Nope, not Mexican, I'm a white boy and yes I dance like one.
In the car community I find that there are the Purists, the ones that will ruthlessly bash on any body kit or change to the appearance at all. Then there are those who who take platform they like and use their creativity to change the car into something that is unique, one of a kind, and a piece of art.
That being said there are times, of course, when one's opinion of good art and bad will differ from others. This usually results in arguments and name calling. I've got to say I am impressed with the effort put into the modification of the car. Would I drive it? No, but I'm also not going to bash on someone else prize, joy and dream.
I posted this because I was impressed with the amount of work done to the car and because I'm new to the forums. I wanted to know what type of people were on these boards. I've had good experiences on the Camaro forums, where every encouraged each other no matter what mods were done because they all saw them selves as all part of a community. To bad, like on the Supra forums, were the members had their idea of what the perfect Supra would look like and what parts should be on every Supra and any deviation from this idea was met with cruel and malicious responses.

Can't help but notice, someone, somehow, changed the title of my thread....Interesting. Although I understand moving my post is a moderators job, who are they to input their opinions into my thread under my name. The original title was not what THEY have now made it. Even the Supra forums didn't do that.

And based on what I see on the street, your experience on Camaro forums doesn't surprise me.

Nothing about what you posted illustrates 'art' or creativity for that matter. Maybe ambition and physical effort, but little else. I can hold up a stick and break it in half, but calling it 'art' doesn't make it so. Or I can carve a piece of wood into something creative and asthetically pleasing to the audience and they will call it art. By dismissing us as "ruthless purists" the sanctimony is on your side, not those who expressed their opinions of that monstrosity.
And based on what I see on the street, your experience on Camaro forums doesn't surprise me.

Where does it end with you then? If someone takes a sledge to their car and makes it look like a golf ball, are we just suppose to say "not my cup of tea"? Please, that's the bullshit the art teacher shovels who could never quite make it doing anything in the real world.

I posted up the pictures because I was impressed by the effort that went into the car. There are some parts I don't like about it, but over all it looks like they did a good job. Someone went out on a limb and got creative and I thought that was what moding a car was all about. You can not like it, but I'm surprised at the way you voice your opinions. Someone throws a racial slur at me, calling me a "messican", the moderators change the title of my thread to fit their own feelings of the body kit. However there were a few that said they didn't like it with tact. I'm particularly fond of the post with the pic from Super Troopers, still makes me laugh a little. And then there's you, you sound like a very angry person who lacking something in there lives so you pick fights on a forum instead of driving your car.

Whoever creasted this piece didn't finish it. They actually left the factory roof lines when they should have made it more anglular and finished the job. Then we wouldn't be able to tell it used to be one of the sexiest cars ever. Then no one on here would care. Then your "messican" statement would have never happened and we would talking about something less stupid. I guess it's not for me.
