Momo Race vs Monte Carlo... (steering wheels)

I'm considering getting a new steering wheel after I get my FC running, and I'm looking at either a Momo Race or a Momo Monte Carlo...

The Race is nice, I've held one in my hands and it's very comfortable. But the Monte Carlo looks cool as well, and is a good 70 dollars cheaper at most places...

So I'm wondering why the Monte Carlo is so much cheaper than the race. Is it materials? And is it as comfortable (at least when it comes to the thumb rests) as the Race, if anyone knows?

I know I'm thinking way ahead of myself, but the stock steering wheel (No tilt steering) makes it a bit hard to get in and I figured taking an inch off it might help...

You're missing your shifter!

I believe the Monte Carlo is *not* leather.
Can you confirm?

I run a MOMO Race, and I *love* it.
The contours are perfect for my hand, but I wish it came in a slightly larger size - 360mm or 365mm.

This is why the Monte Carlo is cheaper.

Seven month bump!

FYI, the Monte Carlo is leather... the reason it costs less than the Race is because it's not nearly as fancy (plain leather versus perforated, no ring on the front, simpler mounting screws, etc).

I bought a Momo Race on eBay (used) for 145 shipped... It's not here yet but I'm sort of having some regrets since I think I might have wanted something with thinner, higher spokes. The race looks like your thumbs are right at the center of the wheel, rather than being a bit higher, so the middle of your hand is at the middle of the wheel (like on the Monte Carlo and other purer racing wheels). Well, as long as it's better than the stock wheel (and not just by being smaller).
