mold on side skirts

I was wondering how much it would cost to mold on the side skirts? Is it expensive because i don't see a lot of people who actually molds it onto their 93-95 rx7?

molding

Molding in side skirts is not expensive to do. Once they are fitted to the car all they do is run some epoxy down over the seem, maybe some body filler and do some sanding. Most body shops, alteast good ones will advise you NOT mold fiberglass to metal. Some places will flat out refuse to do it. Problem is its only a matter of time before it cracks. It is going to crack and any shop that says it won't is lying to you. All it takes is one hard launch and a little frame twist and it's going to crack the paint. My skirts are molded only because they fit like crap and I cut them in half. I am guessing the first pass down the drag strip they will start cracking.

I am not trying to talk you out of it, because it does look good. Just remember is going to crack some time, probably sooner than you want.
