MK4 supra seats in an FD?

I think this might be in the wrong section, but I thought I'll post here for more traffic.

Has anyone tried to fit some MK4 supra seats in an FD? My neighbor has a nice set of black suede stock supra seats with red stitching, which he's trying to sell and I thought it'll look nice in my FD. I don't want to waste time and try to make them fit if someone has already tried. But if they do fit, I'll pick them up from him.

thanks!!!

Remove your passenger seat and ask if you can test fit.

bad idea, they tear very easily and do not last long. Many of my friends low mileage supras have horrible looking seats. Many supra owners upgrade the seats to sparco or recaro, I would highly suggest not buying a pair of supra seats, try to find some good condition fd seats in the for sale section.

They will not fit. MkIV seats are wider than ours. And the materials wears worse than the FD seats. If you don't want to buy a set of FD's just get them recovered in Catz Skins they look great after that and material is really nice.

supra seats are not as comfortable as FD factory seats, but im sure you've sat in them and are content with them. thats just my opinion. they don't hold you in that well, either. granted the only mkiv seats ive been in were leather, so i was sliding all over the place, but there isnt much lumbar support. if you are going to track your car, they wouldnt be worth it. i also think they might be too tall and too wide. if your heart is set on it, like its been said, take out your passenger seat, borrow the seat and size em up. for what it's worth, i dont think its worth the swap.
