Midbass or coaxs in FC Shock towers?

I have both to choose from. Any body ever put just a midrange back there? I have a 3 way up front and wouldn't mind spending a bit extra just to plop something in the rear.

So which would be better, midbass or coaxials?

Thanks

I lined the inside of the tower with sound matting, then installed an infinity kappa componant mid speaker. it sounds great. before that i had infinity kappa coaxials in it which sounded great too. personally i preferred the coaxes. it gave a better surround sound effect.

I do not know the rear places of the FC good, but I guess there's not much space for a midwoofer to work. So I would take a coaxial.

I'd put coaxials in there. The fit is a real grind though; you'd probably be putting 6.5 inch units in I suppose. The factory units are smaller with an adapter plate, so you'll have to rig something up. Unless you can find 8" drivers. Good luck, it'd be great if they existed. I was looking when I put mine in, nobody seems to make them.
