Miata bose option

Well, I searched and searched and of course found the thread about putting the 05 Miata bose system or the Millenia system in our cars.
However, my question is about the late 90's-'00 bose systems - single din such as this:

I couldn't find anywhere that someone had tried it?
Any thoughts?

Which car are you planning to drop it into?

'93 FD touring w/bose. CD is on the fritz and main unit works, but display is weak/unreadable.

I would like to combine bose into a single din unit that plays CD's.

If you haven't found out yet, these radios share the same electrical harness as the USDM FD3S. It should be a straight swap.

Good luck!

Thanks - that's what I was looking for. I'll likely pull the trigger on one when I find a good deal.
