Question MBQuart Dkd 110 - Decent sound?

Im too newbish and ignorant, so nothing too technical in this post.

Im not looking for an awesome sound system or anything, but something a bit better than the stock audio on an 88 TII with "premium audio". I was told MBQuart DKD 110 for the 4" front and then also for the rear. But without knowing what the Quarts sound like Id rather put another brand in the back depending on how clear/how much bass are in these Quarts.

Clarity is what Im looking for in the speakers. Bass is important, but Im guessing a sub would take care of that if there wasnt any (will it?) I know nothing of ohm/amp/whatever ratings and I dont know how to listen to things correctly. So I dont really need an extravagent system made out. I dont want to set a price cuz I can get the speakers cheap enough outside of dealer prices. But Ive been told that for what I want Id need about $1000 total (through a dealer)

-What do you recommend for the front 4" speakers (I dont want to convert the space to fit 6" or cut in the door panels) ?
-What do you recommend for rear 6" speakers?
-What do you recommend for sub/amp combo?

Thanks
